Procrastination at its highest level and I've got to curb myself from that.
After finally settling down in front of my computer, I am motivated to blog right now.
And a hectic day begins again tomorrow!
On the 2nd day, I finally revisited my favorite place in Taipei,
yes you've guessed it right guys!
Jiu Fen & Shi Fen here we come!
The very last time when I headed there, it was via a mini van.
This time round, I'm going to experience the life of locals by taking the public transport!
Boarded the train heading towards Rui Fang.
And when we finally got here, I felt like I wasn't in Taipei.
I felt like I landed in a village.
Or rather like I went from Orchard to Yishun.
There was a strong nostalgic and rustic feel which just made me feel sooooo comfortable.
Board 1062 to head to Jiu Fen!
You can use your public transport card (simply speaking, your Taipei Ez-link card) on this bus!
FINALLY.
I got here at about 10am!
The legendary must-try yam ice cream wrapped with popiah skin, cilantro leaves and peanut shavings!
Always a fan of such streets.
And first stop of Jiu Fen, Fen Yuan!
Which is basically taro/yam balls and sweet potato balls.
And I'm gonna nom it with such a breath-taking sight.
It was so chilly and windy.
I was so glad to have this bowl of dessert from Ah-Gan Yi Yu Yuan store.
It was yam and sweet potato balls in green bean soup.
So warm, chewy, sweet and perfect to warm your hearts when eating with your loved ones.
please DO not miss this out!
The Spirited Away scene.
So much memories and meaning to it.
It almost brought us to tears when we were reminded by how Chihiro was separated from her parents :'(
My ice-cream!
So goooooood.
and finally at Shi Fen!
It was so crowded which I wondered why.
And it happens to be the Sky Lantern festival which is just a few days away!
Was so grateful to see so many sky lanterns in the sky.
IT WAS A GORGEOUS SIGHT.
My sister and I skipped this activity though.
#ootd shot hahaha.
I freaking loved this mini sponge cakes!
It was so cute as it's shaped like bears.
And I couldn't bear to eat it :'(
But sissy shared with me hehe.
So after our day at Jiu Fen and Shi Fen, we headed to Taipei main station's underground shopping street. And off to Shih Lin!
Unfortunately,
I did not get much photos as I did not bring my camera along.
But it was a really good experience!
Which I believe other bloggers might have blogged about it already.
And we began the next day once again, at a bakery!
It was as early as 8/9am.
And not all the bread were out yet.
I remember researching before that the bread at Taiwan are usually more towards the sweet and the salty.
Because they prefer sweet stuff.
And this is our pick of the day!
Some fish sandwich and a peanut bread with CREAM.
Was sweet and nice, but too creamy for my liking :(
That's all for today!
Have a great week ahead guys and will definitely be updating as much as I can :)
goodnight,
cynnie.
