daisy travels: Taipei Day 3

Too much of Taipei to be reminisced, let's go on!
Finally, the most anticipated day of the entire trip.
My very first visit to Taipei's very own Haji Lane!
If you're wondering where is it, it is at Zhongxiao Dunhua station which can be easily found on the metro map.

And loving sissy's Nike Air Force 1 shoes!

Being a huge fan of bakeries, I couldn't resist myself from walking close to bakeries' display cases and look at their baked goods.
Just look at the cutie pie cakes below!

How can it make you not go "Awwwww" with like your eyes filled with heart shapes.
At least for me though :D

And did someone just mention...HONEY TOAST?!
Yes, I have set my foot into Taipei's very own Dazzling Cafe(Pink)!
There are many different names for different outlets, such that they have Dazzling Cafe Mint, Sunshine, Sky & Blueberry.

And if you have visited, we have our very first Dazzling Cafe right in Singapore!
Located just at North Bridge Road, Capitol Plaza.

Back to Taipei:

Glamorous, elegant outlook of the cafe.

We reached there at about 11.40am, which we were surprised to find it open and we didn't have to queue.
And the staffs were shout "morning call!" upon your entry.
Sounds really cute and cool!

We had a hard and long time deciding on what to order off the menu...
Everything looks good.
We ended up choosing 2 pastas, 1 Honey Toast and 2 cup of tea, which a drink is compulsory for each pax.

Sissy looking mischievous with her pasta!

My pasta was some veggie pasta, which i totally forgot what it's called.

Does it look like something that came down from heaven?
Matcha honey Toast was the BANG.

Soft creamy ice cream with cream, macaroon and a matcha biscotti.

Over soft, fluffy and crunchy toast drizzled with ice cream and red beans.

It was one of the most fantastic meal and we were over-stuffed.
It was a pity not getting the truffle fries...but we were satisfied with whatever we had!
There was a 90 90 minutes restriction due to their overwhelming traffic flow, but I thoroughly enjoyed the cosy moment I had with my sissy <3

The streets of Zhong Xiao Dun Hua.

Loving the details of Nike Air Force 1!

Yes..my #ootd for that day :D
Furry outer wear x Forever 21 kids(yes indeed...)
Top x Stussy
Tribal knitwear socks x H&M
Shoes x New Balance

And not forgetting, the long-awaited Taipei 101 visit!
We went at night as my sister is an absolute fan of night views.
Such as those bustling cities sight with all the lights shimmering.
Ahhh...kinds of reminded me of the lighting systems on the runways.
A lovely sight!

We stayed on for about an hour or more, and decided to grab a bite.
much anticipation for Din Tai Fung at Taipei 101 but it was FILLED with people.
We were kind of disappointed...but nevertheless decided to make a trip back to Xi Men Ding and enjoy the street night life there!

It was indeed NOT a wrong choice to go back to Xi Men Ding.
We tried "Da Che Lun" which is apparently one of the most popular Japanese restaurant chain in Taipei!
What makes it popular was not just its concept of no menus, because you have all that on the walls, the ceiling and those on the toy train that goes round and round in front of you!
It was indeed confusing for my sister and I in the first place, but we struggled through it :)

Choo choo coming YOUR way!

Of course, the pricing and the freshness of the food was what to be expected.
This bowl of Udon was pretty cheap...?
But look at the amount of ingredients loaded inside!
With the chilly breeze outside on the streets, I couldn't be more thankful for this bowl of udon which kept me warm through the night.

Sashimi was fresh, thick and generous in its serving!

Gotta say, MY FAVORITE SUSHI OF ALL.
Who can resist Grilled Salmon sushi?!
Definitely not me :P

An unagi/eel as a side dish for me.
So delicious, sweet and soft to chew on!

No better travel companion than sissy <3

That's the end of Taipei Day 3!
Drafting on Taipei Day 4 coming your way.

Have a great night guys,
cynnie.
