Yay updates and everything: Grin Affair, Dad's birthday!

Yes finally I'm blogging.
Before I continue slacking my ass off, I've got to start putting back in effort in typing out my experiences and moments into words.

Outfit of the day!
Finally wearing back:
Striped cap x Forever 21
American Eagle Muscle Tank x Heritage 81
High waist shorts x my sister's loots
Bracelets x @beatxbeads & Red Wings store @ OC

That day was scorching hot.
Practically walked around the whole of Outram Park while finding the place!
Was all that walking worth it or not?

This condominium should be iconic enough for you to locate the Grin Affair store!

If you did not expect Grin Affair to be located around a neighbourhood estate, yes it is there.
At the far end, which is why we got lost a little while even with our GPS!
Surprisingly, there were a few other cafes located around that area as well and it's pretty near to Duxton as well!
So if you're on a cafe-hopping spree and just too full for any desserts, maybe you can pop by Grin Affair for some takeaway sweet treats!
OR
If you're not full/hungry/itchy mouth/having a sweet tooth,
this is the right place.

Tadah!
We are at the doorstep!
Looking pretty cosy just from the exterior, I really grinned.

I mean to me, I or We love cosy little places to chill out isn't it?
This place felt homely enough to me.

It was a Tuesday/Wednesday afternoon.
So we weren't really expecting a crowd or anything which pretty much was true!
Perhaps more of takeaways.
I felt like I walked into a tiny cottage.
With a dim orange light lit to welcome the customers in.
Seats were minimal, which makes it more spacious and of course there were seats outside too!

DIY decks just made the overall interior so much cuter!

We were greeted by an auntie which I assume might be the owner's mum or someone, and with her warm smile and greetings, I really felt happy to be there!
Even without eating the cakes, I felt sweet enough.
Okay mushy enough.
The auntie recommended some of the hot favourites such as
Strawberry Cheese;
Cookies & cream;
Lychee Passion.
Sharlene(my twin aka owner of @beatxbeads on Instagram; do check out her handmade bracelets!) got the Strawberry Cheese well I opted for the Hazelnut because I'm just a lover of hazelnuts.

The Strawberry Cheese was GOOD.
The strong taste of cream cheese enhanced with the sweetness of the strawberries and the crumbs at the top just made it melt in my mouth with a tinge of sweetness; yet it wasn't too sweet that it will make you sick of it.
Awesome recommendation; definitely a must try!

Mine was the Hazelnut.
Really filled with hazelnuts.
Mad love.

With Pralines.
I hyperventilated.

Then comes the coffee & chocolate sponge cake at the bottom.
I died.

It might not be one of the favourites, but to me it was heavenly.
The coffee & chocolate cake might taste a little bitter, but with the sweetness of the hazelnuts and the crunchy nut praline, it was a perfect match of bitter and sweet.

My tastebuds had a struggle trying to taste it, because It was so good that I just chewed and really just wanted to have another mouthful of it.
So my tastebuds couldn't enjoy longer.

Dad's birthday which falls on 13th April!
Celebrated over at Buffet Town @ City Hall the day before, and he was so elated to see his Pedro shoes as his birthday present!
So officially him with his birthday cake!

Chocolate Mousse cake from Prima Deli!

Dad with Mum!
Thank you both for bringing us up, I know it's like a parent's responsibility but without all these years of care and love, we wouldn't have grown up knowing the society,
knowing how to care and love,
how to contribute back to the society,
and so much more stuff.

I hope to see our family every loving together, travelling together, dinner times together, so much more.
I can't imagine days when I will be in Florida and not being able to see you all for 3 months.
it's gonna be tough, but I will do you proud.

With loads of love,
cyn.
