Books. Philosophy.

Today's post...might perhaps go a tad bit more personal.
I don't know if it's plainly just term test's stress or I guess...I've been keeping too much to myself.
Bear with me a little while.
Just a little while.
Will you?

I've been reading books these days.
Some old school books, Mitch Albom, John Green etc.
Started asking myself and really tried to figure out my thoughts deep inside.
My recent reads: "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom
Thoughts about regrets.
I agree, and I admit maybe I have too many(or should I say too much) regrets because it seems countless.
At times, we feel that our decisions were right.
Just that moment.
But when we thought back, why does it feel so wrong that it turns out to be a regret?
That's how I felt.
I could feel myself turning my head, looking back at the paths that I've taken and asked myself:

"Was that what I really wanted? Why did I even decide on that in the first place?"

Just like how I lost someone really important just because I was too sensitive at that moment.
Maybe.
I would laugh back and smile to myself.
When I remembered how I exclaimed to my sister when I went head over heels over someone.
She laughed, because well..she wouldn't expect that I could go that crazy.
I guess that's what made me really thought.
I have lost too many chances.

What I've always wanted, came true.
But why did I give it up on that very moment?
Chances..do they come back again?
I hope they do.
Because I'm never letting go anymore.
I'm never giving up on something that matters so much to me again.
If you do read it,
and you could be the one,
will you come back?

Reminiscence.

Reasons why I love my polytechnic life.
Because school is interesting.
Back to CCN day and visiting Ethel's dog, Kisses!

Used to have a huge fear of dogs but now,
LOVE THEM!

What's better than an ice-cream treat from one of your sweetest pal? :*
Besides, all for a good cause!

With my loveliest clique!
But Denise wasn't there.
And supporting our juniors for their polaroid service and sushi!

And meeting colleagues back in school like seriously!
Haha okay.

Just trying to make this space alive.
Back to my monotonous life of mugging for TT.

Byebye :(

Hearing the jingles x 'Daisycooks' Episode 2!

It's December!
So it's like 24 days more to X'mas.
Have you made your plans for x'mas yet?
I sure did!
And I'm glad that Majolica Majorca started it off for me again.

Makes my hair smells really good with the hair spray!
Limited Edition and it will be selling in Watsons soon!

And new color lipstick for X'mas!
Can't wait to wear all that plaited clothes and celebrate x'mas with my loved people :)

Really sorry for all the poor quality photos!
More details of the products will be up soon after my term tests end!

"Daisycooks" Episode 2!
To say the truth...I'm really glad to say that the first episode went well!
Hearing from the others how they are looking forward to the 2nd episode, I really feel so grateful for the support and actually I did do episode 2!
But I didn't had time to post it, so here's my compensation!

On the menu today is...Banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!
I made it specially for a few people, and the turnout seems pretty good!
Let's share the love this Christmas season.

Ingredients:

Little Petey bananas, always getting my papa to buy this brand because the cartoon is just so cute!
Amount: Up to you!

1/3 teaspoon of baking soda,
1/2 teaspoon baking powder,
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (imitation vanilla will do just fine)

70g or rolled oats (but I used my instant oats)

90g of plain flour or oat flour will do just fine!

110g of brown sugar, but I reduced it to 100g if you don't want it to be too sweet.

80ml of soya milk

40g of chopped almonds,
60g of chocolate chips or more

Mis the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt and brown sugar together.
(Dry Mixture)

Whisk 75ml of oil,
vanilla extract,
soy milk together.

(Wet mixture)

Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture.

Mix it well.

Place it on a tray with aluminium foil or baking sheet.
Remember to brush the base with butter if you are using the aluminium foil!

*waiting waiting waiting*

Done!
It's simple and easy to bake so do make some for your loved ones!
A healthier choice chocolate chips cookies too ;)

with love,
Cynthia.

Nuffnang Lovin' x Bartini Kitchen, definitely worth the love!

Good morning lovely people!
It's a cozy Sunday with a cool chilly breeze isn't it?
After a hearty breakfast with Daddy before he is off to training,
I'm all settled down now, here, with you.
With a mug of warm Matcha tea and my laptop, I really appreciate this Sunday rest that I have :')

Settled in a district,
29 Boon Tat Street
Singapore 069624

which is relatively near to Raffles Place station, it's definitely a good hideout for dinner with alcohol and of course, the best company that you need to go along with it :)

What's up with Nuffnang Lovin'?
With this relatively new event set up by Nuffnang, Nuffnang Lovin' is one of those events held monthly for nuffnang bloggers to simply come together and have fun!
I was really elated to join the others for this cocktail making session!

And that's our cocktail mentor, Barnaby Murdoch.
Let the fun begin!

In 4 different groups, we got the exclusive chance to learn 4 different cocktails(we;;, that's if you decide to be kpo and peep into some other's lessons :p)

And this was the first drink.
Martini Espresso.
Absolute love cause I really love caffeine!
And the coffee was freshly brewed, o'well smells really good.
I can imagine myself sniffing it now *sniff sniff*

So apparently, I wasn't that of a good student to watch all 4 cocktails making session...
because food was important HAHAHA.
My first ever food-tasting session!

Beetroot, Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad

The Retrospective's legendary Mac & Cheese.
This is a must order!!
Served pipin' hot with the cheese, each mouthful just simply makes you melt and crave for more.
No worries even if it's cooled, cause it still taste damn good!
For someone like me who pretty dislike cheese...this is definitely what I will order!

Escalope of Pork Parmigianna with creamy mash potato.
The pork was nicely breaded, served with carrots, mashed potato as stated, tomato sauce base drizzled upon the breaded pork and melted with cheese.
Worth a try while it's hot!

Seafood lovers, this is for you.
Mussels in White Wine & Creamy Sauce.
The mussels were fresh, and topped together with the white wine & creamy sauce,
complimented the fresh tasting mussels.
It was chewy and not overly-cooked.
Mega love for me too!
Definitely did justice to the mussels, and you might want more ;)

What's alcohol without pizzas.
I felt like I was in New York for once.
Tomato & Fresh Mozzarella Pizza.
Thin crust, loaded with cheese, crispy dough and the tomato base.
Who said pizzas needed lots of toppings?
If you simply love cheese, this might be worth a try for you!

After loading myself with all those food, my turn!

Mojito made by me and Akemi!

Selfies!!!

Special thanks to Bartini Kitchen and Nuffnang SG for holding this event!
Also, special thanks to my readers who participated in the Bartini Kitchen e-vouchers giveaway!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Because of time constraint the past weeks, I felt that I have probably left out a bit too much more on my really daily life.
Besides just updating on events that I've attended and sharing products,
I want to allocate this special place for my life as well,
so I could just read back in the future and remind me of the best memories :')

Well, 1st picture taken with my clique since 2.2 started for us!
To say the truth, 2.1 was a pretty tough semester for us.
It felt as though we have fallen apart, and issues just arisen, but all we could do was just pretending that we didn't see/feel anything.
Because we know we want to keep this friendship going.
After the holidays, I'm glad to say we are all well back together.
Closer than ever.
Funnier than the past.
Crazier and definitely being sillier together.
:')

With an ultimately funny schedule I should say, Wednesdays are simply what I call the eat/shop/chill day for us with just an hour lecture.
Not gonna waste my time travelling here and there for just a lecture, so basically filling up all my wednesdays to spend time with my lovelies!

Gindaco Tako Balls!
AWESOME.
I could remember those days whereby I buy tako balls almost 4 days a week back then.
Until I finally ate this again, I felt like I was back to my younger days :')

Yaki Soba noodles with omelette!
Denise's order and it's OISHI!!

Seriously, I should say my whole clique are HUGE fans of Japanese food.
Any Japanese cuisine we are always on for it!
Too bad XinPing wasn't there :(

Tiko face.

hehe.
That's how we end our meal.

Campus Relay Day;

Makisan date with my dearest XinPing before we showed support for the runners and Wanlin!

Xin Ping's Makisan *.*

Mine *.*

Not our ordinary Makisan okay, it's our MEGASAN.
Our love for sushi!

Yes, we caged her up. HAHAHA

With my pretty 06 mates :D

Congrats on finishing the Campus Relay Run!
Our clique is proud of you eh Wannuto ^^

Lat but not least, the highlight of October for our clique...
Halloween!
Celebrated a belated Halloween together..and it's our very 1st time celebrating together!
Not dressing up and going around for trick or treat...
we had our own silly ideas.

Remember how I raved, craved and absolutely going insane over my love for Japanese curry over at Monster Curry?
I headed back there again with my clique!
Nothing special.

But, with level 5 spiciness level.
Can you handle it? ;)

Seriously, we thought it wasn't really overall that spicy.
Probably it's 4 of us sharing one.
But that's probably what got us searching for a drink hehe.

Disgusting I'm sorry, but achievement unlocked!

Green Tea Latte, Jasmine Green tea, Honey Yuzu, Honey Green Tea for you? :D

That night was such an impromptu plan.
Initially wanting to catch Carrie for the 2nd time..
But there's no seats and we thought we're gonna leave the night empty b y just strolling down the streets..
But guess what we did?

 Playnation over at *scape!
No I ain't gonna psot videos of us playing Dance Central 3 because that's our tiny little secret shared between us hehe.

And that's our night!

Thank you guys for these fun moments ;)
And I'm looking forward for more!

And...something real exciting is coming up for us!
^-^

Hope you guys have a great Sunday ahead!

with love,
cyn.
