how impactful are photographs?
I remember how I first convinced myself to get a DSLR.
As I looked through photos that have been taken from then and now, I realized how fast time has been moving.
How each of us have been moving in and out of other peoples' lives.
It brought back memories.
Some instants are worthwhile to be captured with a camera, but some, you would just wish to enjoy that moment with your eyes.

And happiness comes from within, they are the happiness.
A casual photo but feeling so much love from this!
So I had a date with my parents once again on Friday, when my project ended early and my parents were free!
Yay yay yay!
Had a usual routine of going to the temple to make a prayer before heading for foot reflexology!
Really loving foot reflexology so much because of standing all day long etc.
Foot reflexology sounds really like a tai-tai life right.
And thinking that it's really expensive at times.
Well, in my opinion, for the sake of health, once in a while of foot reflexology will be good enough!
My parents and I frequent the foot reflexology centre at Rochor Road, Fu Lu Shou Complex.
Wan Ling has multiple outlets within the complex itself so seats are mostly available!
For a 40 minutes session that I usually take up costs at about SGD23!
Compared to outside prices, this is pretty much affordable!
We had dinner over at CoCo Ichibanya located at Bugis+ yes because my parents fancies spicy food which I think I probably got the genetics from and who can resist Japanese curry!
Photos are stuck in my phone... :(
Filling really full after my clam and spinach curry rice, we still had desserts over at Honeymoon Dessert!
It just happened they had a promotion ongoing, purchase 2 identical flavor of pancakes and get the 2nd one at 30% off!
We got to choose between Mango Flavored and Durian flavored, well who can resist durian from my family!
And tadah!
2 durian pancakes served chilled.
Loving Japanese desserts, I could not resist not ordering this off the menu,
Matcha/Vanilla ice-cream topped on red bean soup paste with glutinous rice dumplings (soft, chewy mochi!)
Nom nom nom in my hungry tum tum!
Dad being the usual fan of bean pastes, he got tau huey (soya beancurd) with walnut paste;
a hot dessert that is silky smooth with the combined textured of the beancurd!
Absolutely lovin' this shot of the durian pancake, with my mum being an assistant in helping me to cut this...
because the other one got utterly squashed by me while trying to cut it open..
oops hehe.
The durian paste was strong in flavor, smooth texture with the skin, it was like having a snowskin durian mooncake!
However, I wished my pancake was slightly colder to enjoy the best flavor of the durian.
but nevertheless, it was a good choice!
It was then as we crossed over the road to Liang Seah road and there was a street of food stalls...
from Ji De Chi, to Ah Chew's desserts, Xian De Lai steamboat, Korean BBQ...
My parents promised to visit here again to try them out.
Pinky promise dad!
It was simply a few hours spent together, probably half a day together.
But the quality of time spent together, was priceless.
The sort of interaction and communication within a family is so important, in which I value and treasure the most.
Of course not saying that I am one of those "filial kids",
but I often think to myself, how much fate was taken to bring us together as a family?
And how long do we usually get as a family?
Through all the tough times, they are the ones standing by us,
and I just want to say thank you to my family.
I love you and I'm glad we were a family.
Many more decades to come <3
and that's all for today!
goodbye,
cynnie.
