Everything with biscuits and chocolate..is just delish to me!

I'm back guys!
how have you guys been doing?
I pretty much miss my life as a blogger nowadays... attending events, meeting new blogger friends and enjoying every single moment of those interactions.
For studies, sacrifices had to be made unfortunately.

But I was glad to be able to tag along with Chloe the other day for a really special event which I believe and will categorize as one of my most amazing media event.

I love sweet, floury, crunchy stuff.
So I love biscuits.
& I love chocolate too.
Those chocolate just got to be purely good stuff on its own.
Where to find?! :(
Before I land myself into depression mood...
I'm glad Julie came into my life.
And Julie brought a new friend called Hershey.

So what do you have?
Julie's biscuits X Hershey's chocolate.
My chocolate biscuits finally existed!

One of those damn good stuff - Chocolate Fudge cookies.
one of my love from all the other flavors because it's just so chocolate-y!
*erh hmm as I'm blogging, I'm munching on it.*
Don't be jealous because... I will tell you where to get it later :)

Sneak peeks of the event location!
Just look at those boxes and boxes of cookies.
I need those Christmas Trees made with cookies.

Okay I got to admit.
I used to hate cookies.
And now I love it.
Probably I always end up can't finding my favorite bread pudding at buffets in the States..
I had to rely on cookies.
AND DID I MENTION THOSE COOKIES ARE AMAZING?!
It just taste different.
So now I'm glad, I can find other cookies to substitute it besides Famous Amos.

Yes, that's gorgeous Chloe.
Ultimate beauty and I'm glad to know her like really!

And courtesy of Spinelli as our event was held there!

I wish that box in my hand can be brought home.
Oh yes, please smile when you eat those cookies.
because these cookies are meaningful.

Mr Martin Ang from Julie's company who made his appearance to introduce this new product!
What he said, made me had a resolution to love Julie's and Hershey's even more.
Part of the profits from Hershey's goes towards helping out the children in the United States, creating happier places for them such as Hershey's Theme Park, schools etc.
Julie's likewise, is a household brand of Malaysia. And every biscuit is baked with love.
I believe so when I ate them.
I could feel the love and so I hope you do too.
Trust me, these cookies will make you want more.

And the best surprise of all, X'mas is approaching and they even prepared X'mas gifts for us!
All nicely wrapped.
If this isn't called Sincerity, I don't know what else does.

With all the other bloggers!
They were all really approachable and nice to interact with.
And that definitely forced me out of my turtle shell.

Bloggers at work.
Hahaha :D

sO long since i tried taking close up shots of sweet treats with my DSLR...
so these are some random ones.

And wonderful thanks for the buffet offered!

Remember the gift that they gave?

Powerbank with love.
It was unexpected and even though Julie's biscuits are something that we buy off the shelves not like a restaurant, the customer service itself is amazing this way.

Tadah! Finally, meet the 4 Heavenly Kings co-created by 2 companies filled with compassion for the society.
Introducing Chocolate Waffles, Chocolate Fudge Cookies, Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies and Chocolate Chip Hazelnut Cookies.

If you always loved butter waffles biscuits, this is a must try!
A twist to our ordinary butter waffle biscuit, simply chocolate-licious!

I love nuts. Peanuts, Almonds, Macadamia nut...
how can I afford missing HAZELNUTS?
Yes I am nuts now talking about nuts.

And if you think chocolate is like your world, you wouldn't regret eating this.
Because I didn't.

For the healthier option, choose oat!

They are now available in all local supermarkets so visit the nearest one, grab one and start munching!
I love indulging in this because it really makes me smile thinking about the happier kids in the States, and how satisfied my tummy really is for the chocolate-y goodness.

But my biggest regret and apologies to my readers...
I always finished it before I could take a shot of how it looks like....
:(

I will take the shots next time!
Meanwhile, let me grab another packet.

Goodbye and continue eating with love,
cynnie.

The feeling of winter is settling in.

Finally, an end to my hectic week.
I can't believe how I survived the past 2 weeks.
Firstly, ended my Major Project presentation which was a MAJOR LOAD off my shoulder.
I could even hear my shoulders cracking (okay, just an expression hehe.)

And then, I was drowning with 3 assignments, with 2 on the same day, and 1 on the following week.
Each time I got so motivated to blog...but time just refuses to.

But hey, I ended 2 submissions today!
So no more procrastination, but I should probably start working on my 3rd assignment and probably the other 2 of mine which is going to be due soon.
Oh well, just fighting with time.

Enough of all that rants, you must be sick of it too right!!
I'm just..naggy.

As I am blogging, the breeze is strong. Like literally now when I'm typing.
woohooo shiok!
So maybe that's how winter in Singapore feels like and perhaps cause I'm off the deadlines stress the past few days.
Yipeeee!

Officially 47 DAYS to my first sister bonding trip with Reggie!!
We will be heading to Taipei and we are really excited about it!
Did a really brief itinerary already, which we have to start filling in the details while time goes by and of course, start saving.

It was an insane decision.
We were just sitting by the living room and randomly talking about it...
and the next week we booked our tickets.
No qualms, no doubts over it.
How decisive we were wahahaha.

We thought it might be a good time for us to really open up to each other even more and of course strengthen our relationship as sisters.
Hehe.
I've been to Taipei before, but still I would love any recommendations given by you guys!
Feel free to leave a comment for me.

Dragged this for a couple of weeks, so let's have a Group Therapy time.

In case you didn't know, this is the 2nd outlet of Group Therapy located at Katong V!
It's pretty accessible from I12@Katong, probably a 10-15 minutes walk away.
I have always wanted to try Group Therapy hearing from experiences, but never had a chance to pop-by the original store.
But oh well, at least I tried their outlet!

My cafe hunter of the day, Ethel!

What I ordered off the menu - Hunting down chickens and got my Hunter's chicken stew.
And I will comment, it's deliiiiii-cious.
To my taste buds, at least.
The sauce was absolutely savory and tomato-ish that made me go heart throb.
The chicken was tender and probably a tad drier, but the sauce totally covered up the flaws of it.
Fabulous.
Not a great fan of salads, but this was worth a try.
It costed me about $13.90 and it's worth a deal!

Just imagine getting it together with a bowl of Garlic herbed rice.

Your tummy will thank you for it and scream,"I'm satisfied!"
if not, look for potatoes and order some fries served in ceramic bowls, similarly those used in the olden days for Teochew porridges.
How nostalgic.
Perhaps that's one unique feature of this cafe, not forgetting the nostalgic feeling to tug on the heart strings of ours even while we are dining.

I guess I kinda forgot what Ethel got... probably a sandwich that had feta cheese in it.
Tuna maybe?
Damn, my brain just failed on me.
Haha.
So this as mentioned by Ethel, was pretty decent in her opinions, so why not YOU give it a try some day?

Served pipin' hot on our tables...

And we just had to look at our food with excitement.
So ready to dig in.

Wished we were hungry enough for desserts but I guess...
Apparently we were not :(
Oh well, better luck next time!

So...if you're searching for a quiet and quaint place, filled with nostalgic times, try out Group Therapy Cafe at Katong V!

gotta grab some sleep before I fall asleep at work tomorrow.
Have a great weekend my daisies,
I will water you with more love the next time round.

As for now, goodbye,
cynnie.

Had some of the most wonderful moments having mum's homecooked chicken rice.
I can't say how much I admired my mum, who can whip up so many dishes,
and all I do:
Sit, Snap, Eat & Share!

My dad isn't too bad of a cook too compared to my mum!

Sometimes, I can't differentiate if I'm eating out or eating at home.
What a feast to my eyes and my bulging tummy <3

Chicken!
Well, if you probably noticed parts that are slightly bloody, this means that the chicken used was fresh from the market and not frozen ones!
The chicken meat was tender and chewy, not too dry and simply best along with the rice.
Honestly okay, not because my mum was the chef but it really is that good!

Or should I say whatever my mum cooks, I love it all.

$3.50 chicken rice?
With unlimited servings of chicken and rice, till I finish it all up from the serving plates and rice cooker.
Teehee.

Boiled Tiger prawns and this is just a side dish, to compliment the chicken.
Calories? Nope.
Not at all when it's all made with love, why think about it when having good food?
hehe.

Definitely my favorite dish - Lotus Root soup.
This soup accompanied me since I was young till I'm 19 now.
And I've never grew sick of it, finished till the last drop of the bowl and still refilling.
Yummeh!!!
Mum loaded it up with pitted dates, lotus root, dried oysters (main ingredient to make the soup smell mmhmmm so good!) , peanuts, tad bit of salt, pork bones (collagen good for your skin!)

Too much goodness in one meal, and ending it up with 3 whole guavas.
I love it all, LOVE.

That's it for today guys!
Have a great week ahead and hang on cause we are hitting mid-week soon!

goodbye,
cynnie.

thanks for the memories.

how impactful are photographs?
I remember how I first convinced myself to get a DSLR.

As I looked through photos that have been taken from then and now, I realized how fast time has been moving.
How each of us have been moving in and out of other peoples' lives.
It brought back memories.
Some instants are worthwhile to be captured with a camera, but some, you would just wish to enjoy that moment with your eyes.

And happiness comes from within, they are the happiness.
A casual photo but feeling so much love from this!

So I had a date with my parents once again on Friday, when my project ended early and my parents were free!
Yay yay yay!

Had a usual routine of going to the temple to make a prayer before heading for foot reflexology!
Really loving foot reflexology so much because of standing all day long etc.
Foot reflexology sounds really like a tai-tai life right.
And thinking that it's really expensive at times.

Well, in my opinion, for the sake of health, once in a while of foot reflexology will be good enough!
My parents and I frequent the foot reflexology centre at Rochor Road, Fu Lu Shou Complex.
Wan Ling has multiple outlets within the complex itself so seats are mostly available!

For a 40 minutes session that I usually take up costs at about SGD23!
Compared to outside prices, this is pretty much affordable!

We had dinner over at CoCo Ichibanya located at Bugis+ yes because my parents fancies spicy food which I think I probably got the genetics from and who can resist Japanese curry!

Photos are stuck in my phone... :(

Filling really full after my clam and spinach curry rice, we still had desserts over at Honeymoon Dessert!

It just happened they had a promotion ongoing, purchase 2 identical flavor of pancakes and get the 2nd one at 30% off!
We got to choose between Mango Flavored and Durian flavored, well who can resist durian from my family!
And tadah!
2 durian pancakes served chilled.

Loving Japanese desserts, I could not resist not ordering this off the menu,
Matcha/Vanilla ice-cream topped on red bean soup paste with glutinous rice dumplings (soft, chewy mochi!)
Nom nom nom in my hungry tum tum!

Dad being the usual fan of bean pastes, he got tau huey (soya beancurd) with walnut paste;
a hot dessert that is silky smooth with the combined textured of the beancurd!

Absolutely lovin' this shot of the durian pancake, with my mum being an assistant in helping me to cut this...
because the other one got utterly squashed by me while trying to cut it open..
oops hehe.

The durian paste was strong in flavor, smooth texture with the skin, it was like having a snowskin durian mooncake!
However, I wished my pancake was slightly colder to enjoy the best flavor of the durian.

but nevertheless, it was a good choice!

It was then as we crossed over the road to Liang Seah road and there was a street of food stalls...
from Ji De Chi, to Ah Chew's desserts, Xian De Lai steamboat, Korean BBQ...
My parents promised to visit here again to try them out.

Pinky promise dad!
It was simply a few hours spent together, probably half a day together.
But the quality of time spent together, was priceless.
The sort of interaction and communication within a family is so important, in which I value and treasure the most.

Of course not saying that I am one of those "filial kids",
but I often think to myself, how much fate was taken to bring us together as a family?
And how long do we usually get as a family?
Through all the tough times, they are the ones standing by us,
and I just want to say thank you to my family.
I love you and I'm glad we were a family.
Many more decades to come <3

and that's all for today!

goodbye,
cynnie.

The truth of my skin..revealed.

Aloha people!
It's sunny season (still) in Singapore, but thank goodness for the frequent showers lately.
Chase away those haze go go!

So just last week, I made a trip down to Orchard alone (yay to my favorite quality time) for Ioma's new launch of a special serum.

Erm...special serum?
To me, it's like 什么东东, what are you talking about?
I had to make myself down to witness this "special serum" with my eyes before I can believe something like this existed.
Sorry, I need assurance haha so no chance is slipping away from me!

Before it all started... I had to fill up all my necessary particulars as it's going to be linked all under my profile~
And that's when my own serum will be born into this world.
It's like suited for my DNA thingy, just kidding!
But it's gonna be like the baby of your skin, specially to treat you, and bring you joy upon seeing this glow on your face after using it!

It was like having a whole photo booth to myself.
Whoop whoop!
It was indeed an interesting experience too!
it's like...you know those machines to check your eyesight?
Yes those kind of technology

And that's my assistant from Ioma analyzing my face!

The results of my analysis...
Hydration level can be improved...
with a tad bit higher sensitivity...
Bacterial level activity can be improved...(time to clean my sponge)
okay I will work on it :P

Can't miss out taking a photo with her!
She was like super friendly and nice to me.
Appreciate it!

Analyzing for the perfect serum for my face.
Sounds so magical, like I'm trying to customize my own baby.
You know how it works like The Sims?
Yes those kind!!

Pop-up area at Robinsons The Space @ Heeren!

Amazingly cool.

Outfit of the Day!

Remember how your serum is customized to your skin condition?
These cupcakes are customized to your preference too!
What a sweet and thoughtful concept ;)

This is like...science.
So many formulations, so many different skin types.
So many....different YOU.
What's more, this machine costs up to a billion dollars just to formulate something ideal for your skin.
So much effort, so much technology!

Which somehow relates me back to the though of how different each of us are.
In personality, characteristics, looks and our mindsets.
So, how people look at us doesn't matter.
What matters, is how we look at ourselves, which we constantly forget about.

However, we need no machine for being who we are.
Just be...ourselves :)

goodbye,
cynnie.
